Entry CriteriaStudents must have successfully passed (14+ credits) in Level 1 Design & Visual Communication in year 11 DVC.
Level 2 Design & Visual Communication
will focus on 3 major projects for the year, Product Design, Architectural Design, and Presentation techniques. We will send the best unit away to be externally assessed. There is a focus on learning Ideation, freehand drawing skills, rendering techniques, model making, annotating and discussing your design ideas, research influence, and development of your design ideas.
Students are able to attain 19 credits total with 3 of these standards externally assessed. It is a requirement that students must have passed Level 1 DVC the year prior and have gained 14+ Level 1 DVC credits.
Level 2 Design & Visual Communication is a course for students who enjoy being creative, want to enhance their drawing techniques and learn how to use Photoshop and computer-assisted design software to communicate finalized ideas that address a brief. Students who enjoy this course are passionate about future career possibilities consisting of:
Becoming an Architect, Industrial Designer, UX Designer, Graphic Designer, Film artist, or some other creative pursuit.

Level 3 Design & Visual Communication
DVC leads to Yr 13 DVC which is a university-approved subject. There is also scholarship DVC through HOD discussion. University study could include: Architecture, Design, Graphic Design, Illustration, Fine Arts, Advertising, Animation, Industrial Design, Landscape Architecture.
