Level 2 Science
This course involves the study of DNA and gene expression, investigating human survival in the extreme conditions of outer space, and learning about biological patterns observed in the natural environment in Aotearoa. Field work in ecology is an essential part of the programme. Chemical analysis using ion identification procedures and a physics investigation are practically assessed components.
Entry Criteria
Entry into Level 2 Science requires successful completion of a Level 1 course in Science (14 or more credits). It is recommended that students Achieve in internal assessments at Level 1 in order to be successful in this course.
Students must also meet the requirements to study a Level 2 NCEA Award.
Restrictions apply:
Level 2 Science can not be studied while enrolled in any other Science course.
