Year 11 English for Academic Purposes - Writing & Speaking

11EAPW is one of two courses designed specifically for non-native English speakers. The course aims to develop students planning, writing, and editing skills. There is a focus on preparing students for the CAA literacy tests by having them practice writing formal letters, informal emails, and descriptive pieces.

Course Overview

Term 1
In Term 1 the focus is on writing formal letters.

Term 2
In Term 2 the focus is on writing informal emails.

Term 3
In Term 3 the focus is on writing descriptive writing.

Term 4
In Term 4 the focus is on writing essays.

Entry Criteria

This course is designed for speakers of other languages.
