Year 11 English for Academic Purposes - Reading & Listening
11EAPR is one of two courses designed specifically for non-native English speakers. The course aims to build skills in reading by having students read passages out loud, develop comprehension skills, and prepare students for the CAA literacy tests by having them write opinion pieces, news articles, and reports.
Course Overview
Term 1
The focus of Term 1 is on newspaper article writing.
Term 2
The focus of Term 2 is on opinion piece writing.
Term 3
The focus of Term 3 is on report/account writing.
Term 4
The focus of Term 4 is on essay writing.
Entry Criteria
This course is designed for students who are not native English speakers.
