Entry Criteria

This course is open entry for all students but it is preferred that learners have basic drawing skills and enjoy drawing. It is a full year option subject


Year 10 Design & Visual Communication  


DVC is a recognised subject in preparation for Tertiary study in a wide variety of design areas such as Architecture and Landscape Design, Product, Media Design, Graphic Design, and Engineering. 

This course focuses on skill-based activities to enhance freehand drawing techniques, drawing types, rendering, presentation, and Photoshop skills. 

Students will begin with freehand drawing techniques, mastering the art of rendering with markers, learning how to produce effective graphic design posters whilst learning Photoshop skills, project-based work, presentation techniques, annotation techniques, and end with character design.
